This is a very comfortable holiday house renovated to modern standards on a fenced plot of land on an estate, surrounded by fields and areas of forest. It invites you to spend a relaxing holiday in a quiet location to the south of the centre of the municipality.
The terrace has a dining space with four chairs and a grill for sociable grill evenings. A car parking space is available on site. As the owners live next door, you have a local contact person and daily arrivals are possible.
The old country house was built in the middle of the 19th century and is now a row house comprising two houses, of which one is let out as a holiday house and the other is used by the owner and his family. The interior offers a combination of nostalgic charm and modern comfort. The natural stone wall and the typical roof beams and long roof slope evoke traditional construction methods. The holiday house has a ground floor and an upper floor with a total of 65m² of living space. The fenced site has a private garden gate, with a path leading across the terrace to the front door. You step into the open living and cooking room, comprising a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining space to the left and a comfortable living room to the right. In the middle of the room there are stairs leading up to the upper floor, which has two bedrooms and a shower room. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other has two comfortable single beds. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, an elegant washbasin with an illuminated mirror and a WC. The generous and fully-equipped kitchen unit provides ample worktop space, a dishwasher, a modern stove with an oven, a fridge with a freezer compartment and small electrical appliances such as a microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster, as well as a washing machine and plenty of cooking utensils, so you can self-cater conveniently. You can dine together at the adjacent dining table. Behind the dining table there is a comfortable living room with a sofa, a TV and a DVD player for entertainment and sociable evenings. Air conditioning and free wireless Internet access are available.
It is 2km to the centre, where restaurants and shops await your visit. There is a tennis court and you can go riding, as well as fishing. There is a swimming pool nearby. The Atlantic coast and the beach are about 50km away. You can go on trips to Bordeaux (88km), Royan with its beach (63km), Cognac (38km) or Angouleme with its late Romanesque cathedral (64km). The nationally renowned Futuroscope leisure park near Poitiers (about 190km) is recommended for children.
