Holiday apartment with a veranda and a sea view in Alcamo Marina

The holiday apartment is located in Alcamo Marina in the Aleccia/Calatubo area and is about 500 metres from the sea. The famous tourist destinations, such as Castellammare del Golfo, Scopello, the Zingaro and Monte Cofano nature reserves are all nearby.

The holiday apartment is part of an apartment house and has its own separate entrance. Owing to the elevated position on the raised ground floor, guests can enjoy an excellent view of the sea.

The apartment comprises a living room with an open kitchen and a sofa bed for two people, a double bedroom, and three-bed room with a bunk bed, and a bathroom with a shower. The apartment is equipped with an iron, hairdryer, oven and barbecue. The windows can be locked with a key.

On the front side of the house there is a large veranda with garden furniture.

Owing to the elevated location, the accommodation is well ventilated in summer. It is fully equipped and furnished and provides everything needed for a relaxing holiday. It can accommodate up to seven guests.

The house is classified as energy class G. The deposit is refunded on departure.

Other sights and activities near the apartment are the Saline di Marsala, Mozia island, boat trips to Favignana, Marettimo and Levanzo, or the Segesta temples. Alcamo Marina is between Palermo and Trapani and is a 40-minute drive from Mazara del Vallo and Sciacca.

    “Das Haus war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse groß, mit einem wunderschönen Blick über das Meer. Das Appartement liegt auf einem Berg, es ist daher ruhig gelegen und man hat einen schönen Blick. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super.
    Die Pumpe macht einen kurzes, lautes, qietschiges Geräusch, wenn wir oder die anderen Mieter im Haus das Wasser anmachten. Die Vermieterin schrieb nur kurz, als wir fragten, dass es dafür keine Lösung gibt. Wir gewöhnten uns schnell an das Geräusch. Wer auf so etwas empfindlich ist, sollte aber vorher nochmals nachfragen, ob die Pumpe immer noch so laut ist.
    Etwas schwierig war die Kommunikation. Die eigentliche Vermieterin schrieb kurz vor Ankunft, dass sie in Griechenland ist und ihr Verwandter übernahm die Übergabe. Dieser spricht kein Deutsch und kein Englisch. Das ist an sich kein Problem, aber die Vermieterin, schrieb ständig SMS mit Ausrufungszeichen, dass wir die Wohnung sauber halten sollen und den Müll rausbringen sollen. (dort gab es ein etwas verwirrendes System, wie man den Müll rausbringt, was wir uns aber gut erlesen haben) Auch vor der Abfahrt bekamen wir SMS, wir sollen den Boden wischen etc. Die Wohnung sauber zu hinterlassen ist für uns eine Selbstverständlichkeit und im Urlaub will man nicht ständig Hinweise dafür bekommen. Wir wunderten uns auch, da wir den Müll jeden Tag rausbrachten und die Wohnung auch zurzeit der Nutzung gut aussah, warum wir ständig darauf hingewiesen wurden. Zum Schluss hatten wir noch Restmüll vom Vortag (da sonntags nicht abgeholt wird) und wir sollten den Müll mit dem Auto mitnehmen und irgendwo wegwerfen. Wo wir den loswerden sollten, wurde uns aber nicht gesagt. Das hat uns dann doch sehr geärgert. In der Buchung steht, es gäbe eigentlich eine Endreinigung im Preis. Wir haben die Wohnung blitzblank hinterlassen und dann sollen wir noch rausfinden wo wir irgendwo in Italien Müll loswerden können? Wir vermuten, dass die Wohnung gar nicht von Ihnen gereinigt werden, sondern das dies die Gäste machen sollen. In unserer Buchung steht aber es gäbe eine Endreinigung. Es war wenig gastfreundlich, wenn der Vermieter sich nur über SMS meldet und Aufgaben und Hinweise gibt. Wenn die Vermieter die Handhabung anders haben wollen, sollten sie das besser und gastfreundlicher kommunizieren und dann sollte aber auch die Endreinigung aus dem Preis rausgenommen werden.”

    “Unfortunately the message is written in German and not all the the text is understandable for me. I am really sorry if somethings did not like to you and I find it useful to explain and comment on some items:

    I rent my flat with a great joy but it is a hobby for me also if it needs a great work and not really an economic gain because as also you state, the price is low. I have a job and when you came for holiday in my flat, i was out of Italy for a job trip. I have a relative who helps me to manage the guests. But every communication is managed by me because i am the owner and i speak English. I am sorry for exclamation marks in my short message, they did not want to offend you. They are only an assertive way of writing. Instead, relating to the cleaning activity, I am very annoyed to read from you that i do not clean by myself the flat, because first of all the costs of cleaning activities you did not pay because I payed them for you as for all guests in my house. So before of your arrive and after your departure, a woman engaged by me, cleaned the flat. However, each guest is obliged to leave the apartment clean and tidy and this was asked to you, also because i have only two hours before the next guest arrival and I have the time to clean, but if the guest leaves a shamble i need more time and money. Regarding the waste, in Alcamo Marina there is the collection on the waste and waste must be disposed, according to the Civic rules, every day after 8 pm. If you leave the waste in the house, as you did, for us it is a problem to accommodate the next host because as you saw, it is not possible, during the day, dispose of household waste, to municipal regulation. This rules are in charge in Italy and not only in Alcamo Marina. In your situation,I had to bring your garbage to my house and dispose every evening slowly the various categories of waste; this does not seem right to me. And at the least, I am sorry for the noise of the water pump but it is pertaining of Condo and I can do anything. Moreover the noise is the typical noise of the pump and a new pump does not change or improve the situation. So I am very sorry that you did not like everything of your stay in my flat. I believe that this items are misunderstandings and as you can see in the explanations, they do not depend from mistakes or wrongs thing that I can change. The spirit of a holiday home is accommodating guests in my home as it were a friends. We are not hoteliers, so a little bit of tolerance and aid must also come from the guests. I hope that you will want to come back, and your stay will be completely happy. Certain comments are displeasing to me because as I said for me it's a hobby and this is my first negative comment even if I host in my home for 5 years. Moreover you have forgotten to say that I have helped you in organizing your trip which normally is not required for those who rent an apartment. So I hope to see again in my flat and you will be welcome!”
